Please be advised that a memorial service will be held on April 18, 2013 for Spl/Sgt. Dale L. Hardy, retired Michigan State Police. Dale had a heart of gold and was always willing to assist in any project. Dale is a Past President of the Michigan Chapter IAAI, Blue Goose, MAPC and taught throughout the state in the field of fire investigation which was his love. He will be sorely missed but in tribute to him and his family (which never really met all his colleagues) we are proud to host such a memorial service at the place that Dale spent long days, nights and off duty time assisting in teaching at the Basic Fire Investigation School, finding a house to burn, contacting local fire departments and playing Santa at the Kett-Center. If you asked Dale to assist you with something he was there. I know many people couldn't make the funeral service in November and we wanted an opportunity to have his family meet the police fire and friends Dale had.
Dale loved the Kettunen Center and was a main stay there. We would ask for a small donation to the Kett Center to purchase "kitchen equipment" as Dale loved the kitchen help and the staff.
We would ask you to rsvp if you can make the service to James LaBuhn at jameslabuhn@comcast.net so we can make arrangements for the number of people.
If you are interested in spending Wednesday or Thursday night for a little celebration Thursday night story telling about Dale please contact Jamie at the Kett Center at jmielkemitchell@kettunencenter.org or 231 829-3421 - Jamie will take care of all overnights and food arrangements as she has a fee schedule.
